Queen Metal Bed Great value for money
This is a very sturdy bed which is relatively simple to assemble, and
looks great in the room. It is hard to fault at the price, and while it
is apparent when putting it together that construction quality is not
entirely of the highest standard, once assembled it looks like a bed
worth far more than it costs.
One significant complaint is that
on arrival, I found the box to have come apart in transit. An attempt
had been made to tape it back together, but it had clearly come apart
again. None of the contents were lost because the parts were well
packaged inside the box, but something had scuffed the top corner of
both the head and footboards. The box is inadequate for the size and
weight of the package.
Assembly took no more than an hour and the
instructions are simple and easy to understand. It would have been
easier to have a second person to assist in assembly since there are a
couple of steps which require a part to be held level at one end while
being fastened at the other, but this is not a problem that is difficult
to work around. In one or two places it was fiddly to line up bolt
holes and components, but this is not precision engineering so is to be
expected to some degree.
The finish on this bed is a dark bronze with a rough texture. It looks easy to scratch but it is more durable than it appears.
